If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to answer them for you.
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. It emphasises manual adjustment and manipulation of the spine to restore proper alignment, function, alleviate pain and nerve interference.
How does chiropractic treatment work?
Chiropractic treatment typically involves manual adjustments or manipulations of the spine and other joints. These adjustments aim to improve spinal alignment, relieve nerve pressure, reduce inflammation, and promote the body's natural healing process.
What conditions or issues can chiropractic care help?
Chiropractic care can effectively treat a wide range of conditions, including
Back pain
Neck pain
Headaches
Sciatica,
Joint pain
Sports injuries
and many more musculoskeletal issues.
Are there any age restrictions for chiropractic treatment?
Chiropractic care is suitable for people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Chiropractors are trained to adapt their techniques and approaches based on the patient's age and condition. For children, paediatric chiropractic care focuses on gentle adjustments and specialised care.
What should I expect in an initial consultation?
During your initial consultation at Linnet Chiropractic, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your condition by one of our experienced chiropractors and that should last from 40mins to 1 hour.
This assessment typically includes a review of your medical history, a physical examination, and an evaluation of your current symptoms and limitations. Based on this assessment, we will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan. We will also provide education on your condition and how chiropractic care can help, and answer any questions you may have.
Our goal is to ensure that you feel informed, comfortable, and empowered to take an active role in your recovery journey.
How long does a chiropractic session typically last?
The duration of a chiropractic session can vary depending on the complexity of your condition and the treatments involved. On average, a session may last between 15 to 30 minutes. However, your chiropractor will provide you with a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs.
Will I need to commit to a longterm payment plan?
At our chiropractic clinic, we prioritise patient satisfaction. Our focus is on providing personalised treatment until our patients are happy with their progress. We do not have prepaid packages, ensuring that our care remains flexible and tailored to individual needs.
How many chiropractic sessions will I need?
The number of chiropractic sessions required depends on the nature and severity of your condition. Some individuals may experience relief after just a few sessions, while others may require ongoing care. Your chiropractor will evaluate your progress and recommend a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic treatment is generally considered safe when performed by a licensed and trained chiropractor. The techniques used are non-invasive and drug-free, making it a low-risk treatment option. However, as with any medical procedure, there may be some risks or contraindications depending on your specific health condition.
Will chiropractic adjustments be painful?
Chiropractic adjustments are usually not painful. While you may experience some mild discomfort or soreness after an adjustment, the treatment itself is typically gentle and should not cause significant pain. Your chiropractor will work with you to ensure your comfort during the session.

Our fees at Linnet Chiropractic vary depending on the type and duration of the service provided. Yes, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment at Linnet Chiropractic, please provide us with at least 24 hours notice. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient in need.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee.

Do I need a referral?
At Linnet Chiropractic, no referral is required to book an appointment with us. Simply contact us directly to schedule a consultation with one of our experienced chiropractors. If you have been referred to us by another healthcare provider, we may request information from them to better understand your medical history and personalise our treatment approach.
Can chiropractic care help with my posture?
Yes, chiropractic care can help improve posture. Poor posture is often related to spinal misalignments and muscle imbalances. Through chiropractic adjustments, exercises, and postural education, a chiropractor can help correct these issues and promote better posture.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointments at Linnet Chiropractic. This allows you to move freely and enables us to assess your movement and range of motion more effectively.
Depending on your specific condition and treatment, your chiropractor may ask you to change into a gown or wear shorts.
Rest assured, we prioritise your comfort and privacy during these moments and will provide a gown if needed.
If you have any concerns or questions about what to wear, please feel free to ask us for guidance.
