Dry Needling
Dry Needling can be very effective for pain relief and the treatment of tension and trigger points in muscles. A fine acupuncture needle is inserted into the soft tissue, causing a cascade of reactions from central nerve pain inhibition and muscle relaxation to improved blood flow and increased tissue repair.
The technique is termed Dry Needling because no fluid is injected. Other than a small pin-prick sensation, it is a gentle technique often resulting in relaxation and can be a comfortable alternative to deep tissue massage.
With your consent, we may use Dry Needling as an addition to your Chiropractic treatment. The needles we use are sterile, single use and disposable. Lene and Leroy are registered with the NZ Blood Service so your Dry Needling treatment with us will not interfere with your ability to donate blood.
